Supporting the wider healthcare community

The National Support Office for Southern Cross Healthcare at the ANZ Centre in Tāmaki Makaurau, designed and built by STACK Interiors, is STACK’s second collaboration with Southern Cross, following the previous successful fitout at Fanshawe Street in Auckland. The design for Southern Cross Healthcare, located across two levels, supports the wider healthcare community and accommodates a wide range of requirements and individuals. The workplace focuses on the national business and prioritises frontline medical professionals and providers.

The project's workplace strategy included dedicating an entire floor as a shared space, featuring a reception area, meeting rooms, a boardroom, and a café/kitchen with stunning views of the harbour bridge and Westhaven. This shared floor fosters collaboration and serves as a central hub for interaction, providing a warm and welcoming environment that makes nurses, doctors, and practitioners feel at home while working.

On the second floor, dedicated workspaces for Southern Cross’ national support staff foster connectivity and facilitate seamless communication between team members. Previously scattered across multiple floors, consolidating these functions within a single floor was a deliberate decision to connect employees.
