Relocating from two separate floors into a single expansive level at 30 Daldy Street in Wynyard Quarter, global engineering and infrastructure consultancy Mott MacDonald has created a workplace that celebrates collaboration, culture, and connection. Designed and delivered by STACK Interiors, the new environment supports a unified team through a purposeful balance of innovation and care — a space tailored for people and performance.

A central internal “street” forms the heart of the workplace, connecting teams and ideas while symbolising the flow of knowledge throughout the organisation. Raw, exposed structural elements and dynamic lighting reflect an engineering sensibility, complemented by warm timbers, soft textures, and lush planting that evoke a distinctly Aotearoa identity.

Inspired by Wynyard Quarter’s evolution from industrial hub to innovation precinct, the design weaves together land and sea, infrastructure and nature. The result is a timeless, human-centred workplace that embodies Mott MacDonald’s values and fosters a strong sense of belonging for its people.
