Bringing the soul into the workplace
Arvida’s new office in Auckland's CBD was primarily driven by the need to create a hybrid workplace that encouraged staff to return to the office after the disruption caused by COVID 19.
The new office was designed as a space that supports and builds connections throughout the office. Previously the different departments within Arvida were scattered across three sites. By bringing the team onto one floor plate it allowed staff to share their knowledge and work collaboratively on different projects.
The design incorporates a multitude of different meeting rooms, breakout spaces and quiet rooms into the layout, giving staff the opportunity to move to a preferred space to complete their tasks. Technology is used as an enabler and connector of people and teams, and the seamless integration of the AV equipment into the fitout ensures that the process is easy and intuitive for the staff.
The team wanted to create a space that showcased the “soul” of Arvida. The office has become a home for all of Arvida’s people and an environment that supports and enables the new office culture – the heartbeat for the business. The warm colour palette and use of natural and sustainable finishes throughout the space creates an inviting environment, that complements the flexible workspace and helps to highlight the choice and offerings within the office.
