Pearson Group moved to new purpose built premises in Albany, early 2006. The move brought together Pearson Education and Penguin. Stack were commissioned to undertake a detailed design and specification review process before Pearsons selected the Quadrant development in Apollo Drive. The building design features an internal courtyard space and a large staff cafe space. The project naturally has a strong focus on books, and much of the design features the storage and display of books and promotional imagery. The design concept includes a focus on staff wellbeing. Access to natural light is maximised, workspaces are generous and there are quiet areas for relaxing and reading as well as more social activities.
“We chose Stack to work with us on our new offices because we believed they would be very responsive to our needs and they have lived up to that promise. The result has been a beautiful building with a stunning interior which is being admired without reservation by everyone who visits. More importantly, our staff are delighted with their new working environment and have settled in very happily.” - Rosemary Stagg - Managing Director
