Stack were excited to work with Mercedes Benz over several years as they reviewed their options around a potential relocation.

Mercedes chose a building in Mt Wellington which was extensively refurbished to accommodate a new office, showroom and workshop training facility.

Stack designed and managed both the extensive base building refurbishment and upgrade, and the new fit out for Mercedes.

Mercedes needed to bring two distinctly different parts of their business together in one building - the financial services and the Mercedes Benz Passenger / Commercial Vehicles. Stack were engaged by the landlord to design, document and oversee the base building works, and by Mercedes Benz New Zealand to design, document and manage the fit out works.

Ground floor spaces and the showroom have been refurbished to provide reception, meeting rooms, staff cafe / lounge, vehicle showroom and an open plan marketing / sales area. The overall aesthetic and concept for interior spaces was driven by reference to Mercedes Benz automobiles and there is also subtle reference to elements found within the Mercedes Benz Museum in Germany. There is extensive use of environmental graphics and the floor layouts have been made more flexible.
