Solution6 Group were seeking to create a new office environment for their Auckland team, which comprises approximately 120 people, in a largely open plan workspace.

Solution6 wanted the new work space to be unique, exciting and stimulating as well as being an efficient work place. Future growth capacity, staff retention and brand intergration were three key areas of interest for Solution6 in the office design.

The project was very fast track, with the initial stages in two parts. Building selection, consultant's selection, brief formulation, spatial analysis, test fit layouts and preliminary budgeting formed stage one. The complete design, documentation and construction process formed stage two, right through to all post occupancy services.

The design has a distinctly New Zealand feel to it. Natural warm colours and materials were used to emphasise the Kiwi flavour. The layout revolves around a central 'break out' space, where staff and clients are encouraged to gather and communicate. This area also forms a key link between two physically separate work spaces. The budget was of paramount importance to Solution6.
